About

About the game

Guess That Season is a daily sports puzzle. Each day you're given a season from sports history and five chances to guess the year it ended, using clues that are revealed one at a time.

There are two games. The football puzzle alternates between two competitions day to day: the English top flight from 1950/51 to the present, spanning both the old First Division and the Premier League era, and the European Cup from 1955/56 to today. The US sports puzzle rotates between the NBA, NFL and MLB, covering every season from 1970 to the present in each league.

How to play

1
You start with one clue — a top scorer, an MVP, a championship winner, or another hint from that season.
2
Type in the four-digit year the season ended. Green digits mean the right number in the right place.
3
Every wrong guess reveals a new clue — up to five in total, ending with the full result, whether that's a league table, a knockout bracket, or a championship series.

Who made it

Guess That Season is an independent project built for sports fans who love the history of the game. It's free to play, with a new puzzle every day.
